Audition for Local Touring Children's Theatre Company Monday June 9th & Tuesday June 10th
I am casting a children’s theatre company to create shows using improvisation in rehearsal until a final product is created which we will take on tour through Sonoma County. Rehearsals will be Sunday mornings and Monday Evenings and shows will mainly be on weekend mornings starting in September.
Ideally this will be a show which performers can do in the morning and then work on a show at another theatre in the evening. I would like to cast a company of 10 to create a show for 5 or 6 actors so that company members do not have to be at every performance. Cast and crew will be paid on a per show basis.
Audition Deets
Who: Adults ages 18 and up. To fit in with the company, you must be willing and able to play many different parts, confident with improvisation, willing to make a fool out of your self, and musically inclined even if you don’t play an instrument… playing an instrument is a definite plus, though. We will be working around a scenario in rehearsals to create the specific actions and dialogue. Shows will be heavy in physical comedy, so being physically healthy is a must! (all shapes and sizes are welcome)
What: For the audition, Please bring a picture of yourself and a list of your theatrical experience or any other experience you feel may be relevant. I would like you to tell a funny story about something that happened to you in your life. Please keep the story to a maximum of 2 minutes. If you play an instrument that you can bring, please do so and prepare a short number to show off your skills.
Where: Auditions will be held at Alchemia, Theatre for Life, at 394 Tesconi Ct, Santa Rosa. Off Dutton, just north of College
When: Monday June 9th and Tuesday June 10th from 5pm to 9pm
How: For an audition appointment, please email me at [email protected]
Walk-in auditions are welcome, but be prepared to wait.
